Small activity update!! :

Since we are getting to know a few locals in our area, we heard about a small coffee shop in Paia (45 minutes west of us). We decided to check it out because it was trivia night- a local event. We met the owner of the coffee shop and heard about lots of cool places to check out before we leave. The community here is unlike anything we’ve experienced before. Everyone is inclusive and wants to know all about you and where you’re from. At one moment, the whole shop was asking us questions about Canada and the Oilers. This all started because I NAILED the question “which 2 teams are in the Stanley Cup finals”!

We weren’t very knowledgeable in the “Hawaiian history” segment, but we got a few of them right, and it was a fun outing! We were sitting next to a group of older folks who go to trivia every week, and they were very chatty and poked a lot of fun at us. It was a great experience.

Afterwards we just got gas and headed home for a movie night, where we watched Happy Gilmore and made snacks 🙂
