Hello everyone! I’d like to tell you about the adventure we went on this Tuesday. We set off early in the morning, heading West along the coast. We eventually crossed the thin section of Maui, then headed up the West coast past Lahaina to Honolua Bay!

The Bay is wide and very rocky. The shoreline is entirely big rocks and small boulders. We had to be careful where we stepped! The spot is a famous spot for snorkelling and we could see why as soon as we looked under the water. The bottom is sandy dotted with many large rocks, which means plenty of spots for things to live. We saw tons of different fish, in schools or going it alone. Hanna saw a sea turtle at one point! I was lucky too and spotted an octopus going about his day. Watching him change colours and texture was incredible!

After a few hours of swimming with the wildlife we walked back to our beat up old truck and took off again. This time we went South to the Wailea area for some shave ice! It’s a lot like a snow cone but with far more effort put in. They come in many flavours and often use several different fruits in the process. Mine had ice cream at the bottom!

After our treat we headed back to Kahului for groceries and then made our way home. We ended up with lots of great photos from the day so I’ll leave a bunch below 🙂

Thanks for reading! -Mike
