On Tuesday we moved on from Maui, saying goodbye to our new friends and the island we have grown to love. We hopped on a plane in the evening after enjoying one last meal with our roomies. They dropped us off at the airport and we flew to Honolulu (on the island of O’ahu). Our flight was only 20 minutes long, and it was nice and quiet with only 23 passengers on board.
We arrived at HNL airport around 7pm, and waited at the baggage claim for a while till we ran into some familiar folks…
They planned a last-minute trip to see Hawai’i for themselves, and to see what sorts of things we’ve been up to! We are so happy to see them and hug them and talk to them in person after 6 weeks of being apart ❤️. We got an Uber from the airport to our hotel, and since they’d been traveling for almost a day we went to bed pretty early.
